Renowned literary critic K P Appan died at a private hospital here this morning after protracted illness. He was 72 and is survived by wife Omana and two children. Appan was undergoing treatment for cancer for the past three years. Family sources said the body would be cremated tomorrow morning (16 Dec 2008)
